摘要： 关于甲午黄海海战北洋海军失利原因的解释,传统观点有所谓缺乏炮弹之说,在社会和学术界都有很大影响。此说主要出自当时几个来华西人,即泰莱、赫德、汉纳根等人的相关说法。但笔者认为,此说大可怀疑,难以成立,是对失利原因的一种错误解释。
